Resin bonded polishing pads are specially formulated to provide polish on both marble and granite. There has also been a lare trend to sell these pads into the increasing concrete counter top industry. Resin bonded polishing pads incorporate very fine diamond particles into a molded-resin base. Polishing pads are typically sold in seven pad sets, ranging from 50 grit to 3000 grit. These pads take away rough areas on counter surfaces left by grinding wheels or other saws and prepare the counter top for the sealing process and the final finish. Polishing pads should be used with a right angle grinder, and we always recommend using a water attachment and running the pads wet. Diamond Resin bonded polishing pads are velcro backed and clearly marked with grit sizes. The 4" diameter is the most widely used polishing pad, but 3" and 5" are increasing in popularity. Should be used with a 5/8-11" threaded backup pad of corresponding size.
