Portable circular saws often react unexpectedly. They wander offline and are subject to play. It’s a quick way to ruin expensive material. But not if you use the Festool plunge saw and guide rail. The saw blade makes its cut absolutely straight and splinter-free. Perpendicular or even beveled, the choice is yours. The cut line is the same for either cut. As a plunge-cut saw, it can start and end a cut accurately anywhere on the material. Equally important, on the TS 55, the saw blade and riving knife retract into the housing, unlike conventional saws, where the blade guard retracts instead of the blade, which means greater safety.
• Guide Rail Guidance- When used with Festool guide rails, you have ultimate control over the TS saw for perfectly straight cuts. And the replaceable splinter guard, and a splinter-free cut is achievable on both sides of the blade.
• Scribe line = cut- Exact cuts, even at an angle. The TS 55 makes the actual cut right on the edge of the scribe line, even on bevel cuts.
• Plunge cutting action- Simple depth adjustment allows you to expose only the part of the blade necessary for the cut. The plunge action allows cut placement anywhere on the cut line for straight cuts or cut-outs into material.
• Rotating dust port- More freedom of movement; fewer dangerous obstacles. The suction hose never gets tangled or in the
way and can always remain attached for maximum dust collection.
