Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit-
• The new Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration unit has been designed with the small to mid-sized shop in mind. Its 260, 362, and 409 CFM rates will clean and circulate the air in a 20’ x 20’ x 8’ shop at a rate of 7 cycles per hour!
• To be most compatible with common space restrictions, the Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit has rubber feet on its bottom panel so it can be operated while sitting on a bench or table. The 20-1/4” X 17" X 10-1/8”, 31-lb unit can also be hung from a ceiling and we include the necessary hardware for the most common installations.
Task Compatible-
• Not all woodworking tasks generate the same amount of dust so we made the Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit versatile. The 1/8HP, 115V motor is electronically controlled to produce airflow rates of 260, 362 and 409 CFM (cubic feet per minute). That range of speeds allows you to set the airflow rate most appropriate to handle the current situation effectively while conserving power and saving money.
• This versatility is further enhanced by the portability of the Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit. Moving the intake closer to the task can often allow using one of the lower flow rates without sacrificing effectiveness.
Control-
• The Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit has a pushbutton control panel at the rear of the unit. In addition to selecting speeds, the Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit control panel features a timer that allows programming it to run 1, 2, or 4 hours before shutting off automatically. We also include a remote control that provides full access to all of those control functions from across the shop!
Filtering Efficiency-
• The Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit has two filtering stages. The outer electrostatic filter is more effective than plain elements. Its fine weave filtering element catches particles down to 5 micron in size. The inner pocket type filter then traps particles down to 1 micron before the air is discharged back into the shop!
• Both filter elements are easily removed without tools for cleaning or replacement. Simply flip the retaining clips open to remove the filters! In most cases, you can clean the filter elements several times before having to replace them. The inner filter can be washed in warm water (no soap) and air dried to restore its efficiency! The amount of dust normally generated in your shop and the effectiveness of your dust collection play a big part in the amount of airborne dust the Jet AFS-400 Air Filtration Unit encounters.
